Fundraising

Fundraising takes the form of corporate and individual activities:

IIOFF

Corporate

Companies or philanthropic organisations may decide to sponsor one boy for his tertiary education and then offer employment after graduating.

Examples are:

Bursary – sponsor a student for a particular tertiary education course.

Bursary plus internship – sponsor a student for a particular tertiary education course. We anticipate that once the student has graduated he would work at your company for a period of time, including vacation work.

Internship – your company can offer internship positions, commensurate with the student’s abilities and interests.

If you wish to receive more information about how your company can participate in this programme, please see the contact details at the end of this brochure or go to:  www.odunion.com/participate

Individual

Named after a legendary Bishops teacher, John Charlton (who started fund raising in the 1970s at the school) this project focusses on the  database of past pupils and offers ODs the opportunity to pledge on a monthly or annual basis to the IIOFF.

Additionally, Class Reunions are held on a continual basis, usually around Founders Day and Bishops Community Week. During this time, attendees are informed of the IIOFF and its activities and encourage to pledge – either as a Class or individually.
